Les Espelmes, leaded by Ramon Vives and Montserrat Invernón, located in a privileged setting, is a restaurant founded in 1970. At that time it was called Mirador de L’Alt Camp. Then it did not have electricity and the menu was reduced to plates elaborated to the ember, and candles were used to illuminate the whole place. For this reason, popularly the restaurant received the name of Les Espelmes.
Nowadays Les Espelmes offers dishes of the most traditional Catalan cuisine, but also has an extensive menu full of contemporary dishes inspired by Mediterranean cuisine.
